Cake Pops / Lollipops / Cake Truffles……….Do you remember these from like 6,7,8 years ago? They took the internet by storm and all I could see everywhere were these pops in every cutesy, happy, smiley, lickable and bitable pops. There were books, recipes, hacks, blogs and what not. I even purchased a Cake pops maker to go little ahead and cut down on the prep time. Fast forward to now, I was itching to try them again.

Wanna have more, here you go…….

I used the Vanilla & Chocolate recipes from the cakepop recipe booklet that comes with the machine. Its so easy and the pops come out perfect every single time.

No wonder, I love this little cute machine. Seriously, did you look at that beauty? The Cake pop maker comes with machine, plastic cake pop stand, fork tool, 50 cake pop sticks and recipes.

Now, lets see what we can make.

Vanilla & Chocolate cake pops

Easy Vanilla & Chocolate Cake pops to bring out the inner child.
Ingredients
- All Purpose flour – 11/2 cups
- Baking Powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – ¼ tsp
- Softened Butter – ½ cup or 1 stick
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Eggs – 2
- Vanilla – 2 tsp
- Milk – ½ cup
- Candy melts – 12 oz
Directions
- In a bowl of kitchen aid stand mixer, combine flour, baking powder, salt and set aside.
- In another bowl, cream sugar and butter until its light and fluffy. Add Vanilla and eggs and beat for 1 more minute. Add milk and mix one more minute.
- Start adding wet ingredients to dry ingredients.
- Fill each reservoir of the cakepop maker with about 1 tbsp of the batter. Close the lid and let cook for 3-4 minutes. Take them out with the handle provided.
- Vanilla balls are ready.
- If you want to make these as Chocolate balls, add 3 tbsp of cocoa powder and increase the milk to ¾ cup.
- Now, comes the fun part. You can melt the candy melts of your favorite flavor and dip the pops in it and sprinkle it away.
- Notes
- This recipe yields around 3- 31/2 dozen cake balls
- The Cake Pop Maker has 12 reservoirs, so each full fill will yield you a dozen pops.
- You can alternatively use vanilla candy melts and use food gel/color to get color of your choice. Note: Candy melts slowly become hard, add 1.5 tbsp of oil to slow down the process.
- You can keep reheating the candy melts but melting few at a time will save you some serious mess or over hardened chocolate.
- Another alternative is use the chocolate chips you have readily in the pantry. Use double boiler method or microwave to melt them. Add 1.5 tbsps of oil and then coat the pops in it.
Loved this recipe. A perfect combination of vanilla and chocolate and so easy to make.
