Few of my Insta friends name their cakes. I always wonder how they pick what they pick. I am still not planning to go that route. But I was split between ‘Pretty lady on the cake’ or ‘Lady in the hat’. What do you pick?

This cake is made with heart and soul to try my drawing skills and also make it look classy & elegant at the same time. Once again its a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.

This cake is also gifted to my kid’s teacher as a Thank you gift. But the poppies design was picked by my son and I tried the new technique of drawing on the cake with the paint brush.

Everything is edible on this cake and I must say the poppies have come very nice and absolutely pop on the white canvas. I just love it.

Although the design is pretty simple, pulling it on top of the cake which sweats within 10 mins out of the fridge, made it more challenging.
And the lips of the lady…..my hand had tremors while painting that small part than the whole picture.
Do you like it with or without poppy in the hat??
Let me know what you think!!
